INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Zoo continues to be in the headlines as it mourns the loss of Zuri, a 20-year-old lioness.
Zoo officials said Zuri was being treated for kidney disease, which is a common diagnosis for ageing cats, both big and small.

The zoo said her keepers and veterinary staff had realistic discussions about the 20-year-old lioness’ quality of life moving forward before they determined it was time to say goodbye.
