2 juveniles arrested after police chase in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS — Two juveniles were arrested after a police chase in Indianapolis Sunday afternoon.

According to a public police report, the chase broke out at approximately 3:10 p.m. in the area of East 30th Street and North Sherman Drive.

The report does not explicitly disclose where or how the chase concluded. IMPD’s report indicates the vehicle police were chasing was a stolen tan 2018 Hyundai sedan.

A vehicle matching police’s description of the car involved in the chase crashed in the area of Fall Creek Road and Cavendish Road Sunday afternoon. Police have not confirmed that the car that crashed near Fall Creek Road and Cavendish Road is the same vehicle that was involved in the chase.

Police also recovered ammunition and two semi-automatic pistols during their incident investigation, per the report.

IMPD indicated that two juvenile boys, aged 15 and 17, respectively, were arrested. The 17-year-old has been preliminarily charged with three misdemeanors, including resisting law enforcement and dangerous possession of a firearm.
