INDIANAPOLIS — A person was killed in a shooting on the northeast side of Indianapolis Saturday evening.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 3900 block of Rue Rebelais — which is located off of Binford Boulevard near 56th Street — around 7:19 p.m. to investigate a shooting. When police arrived at the scene, they located a victim with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported from the scene to Riley Hospital for Children in critical condition after the shooting. IMPD later confirmed that the victim died after being transported from the scene.
