Carmel Marathon postponed to May due to ‘potentially dangerous storms’ Saturday

CARMEL, Ind. — The Carmel Marathon has been postponed due to weather, according to a statement on Carmel Marathon’s Facebook.

Event organizers said they’ve received multiple reports, including from the National Weather Service, of “potentially dangerous storms” on Saturday, April 18.

“The safety of everyone involved has always been, and continues to be, our top priority,” said Carmel Marathon officials in a portion of their statement. “We waited as long as we could to make the call, hoping the forecast would change. Now that it’s clear that isn’t going to happen, we wanted to give everyone as much notice as possible. We recognize that many of our runners have travel plans that will need to be adjusted.”…
