ISP: Semi struck law enforcement vehicles on I-70

HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. – A crash closed part of I-70 in Hendricks County after a semi truck hit a pair of law enforcement vehicles and took off, police say.

This happened on I-70 eastbound at mile marker 68 between Center Street and Ronald Reagan Parkway near Plainfield. Two right lanes were initially closed, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation.

By 7:30 a.m., lanes had reopened and traffic was slow in the right lane. By 7:50 a.m., the scene had cleared.

Indiana State Police said a semi struck a Plainfield police vehicle and a second vehicle belonging to a federal agency. The truck driver then left the scene…
