Indy postal worker charged with stabbing coworker after fight at USPS facility

INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis postal worker is in jail as he faces charges for allegedly stabbing a coworker at the USPS facility on the city’s east side.

Taking a break from work outside the postal facility along Brookville Road on April 11, two employees got into an argument. That led to punches being thrown and ended with 20-year-old Derrius Riggs being stabbed in the neck and back, puncturing his lung.

The victim has spent the last 11 days at Eskenazi Hospital, where he suffered a stroke that left him partially paralyzed. Clearly, he has a long road to recovery…
