One woman arrested after driving drunk, leaving scene of crash in Indiana

INDIANA — An Evansville woman has been arrested after deputies say she was intoxicated while driving and left the scene of a crash in Vanderburgh County.

According to the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched just before 8 p.m. Saturday to the intersection of State Road 57 and East Boonville-New Harmony Road for a reported accident.

Investigators said a woman at the scene told deputies that 52-year-old Tina Walton had rear-ended her vehicle and then left the area, heading east on Boonville-New Harmony Road. The woman told authorities that when she approached Walton to exchange information, Walton was slurring her speech and repeatedly said, “We’re good,” before getting back into her vehicle and driving away…
