INDIANA — Tens of thousands of residents across Indiana are without electricity Monday evening following severe storms that moved through the region.
According to PowerOutage.us, at least 76,160 homes and businesses are currently without power statewide, accounting for about 2.3% of the more than 3.2 million customers tracked. Indiana ranks among the hardest-hit states, with one of the highest percentages of customers affected nationwide.
Northern Indiana has seen the most significant impacts. Lake County reported the highest number of outages, with more than 26,000 customers without power — roughly 17% of those tracked in the county.
