Caretaker accused of defrauding elderly Carmel resident of $29,000

A hired caretaker is accused of defrauding an elderly Carmel woman of nearly $29,000 over two years.

Adula Valdivia of Indianapolis has been charged with fraud, multiple counts of theft and exploitation of an endangered adult. She was arrested earlier this month and released from the Hamilton County Jail after posting bond.
