FISHERS, Ind. — Scammers defrauded a Fishers woman of more than $200,000, according to an affidavit for probable cause filed Monday.
One of the scammers FPD identified, 21-year-old Anmolpreet Singh, has been charged with three Level 5 Felonies — fraud where the lost property is valued between $50,000 and $100,000, fraud involving a scheme or artifice to obtain property, theft where the lost property is valued over $50,000.
Court records indicate officers with the Fishers Police Department first became aware of the scammers’ efforts to defraud the victim on April 30. At that time, the victim provided police with “contemporaneous notes” documenting her interactions with the alleged suspects.
