Mother says Uber driver canceled son’s ride to school, drove him across town instead

INDIANAPOLIS (WKRC) — Police are investigating after an Indiana mother claims her son’s recent Uber ride to school was unexpectedly canceled and he was taken across town instead.

Geralyn Alexander told WTHR her 12-year-old son was taking an Uber for Teens ride to school on Wednesday after his school bus never arrived. She says, at first, everything seemed fine, but then about 11 minutes into the ride, she received a notification that the ride had been canceled.
