The South Dakota Air National Guard took part in one of the country’s biggest motorsports traditions Sunday during the 110th Running of the Indianapolis 500.
Pilots from the 175th Fighter Squadron flew F-16 fighter jets over the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as part of the pre-race ceremonies for the nationally televised event. The squadron represented the South Dakota Air National Guard during the flyover above the historic speedway.
