Wilson High School Alumni and the Evacuation Zone

For the diminishing several decades, a group of about 20 survivors of the Wilson High School class of 1960 have lunched at various eating spots, several of which, just like the graduates, have come and gone.

They’ve met at the Claim Jumper on PCH, Marie Callender’s in Seal Beach, and at one-shot get-togethers at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, Cirivello’s at Parkview Village, the El Dorado Golf Course Restaurant and a few other limited-run eating spots. Except for Knott’s and El Dorado Park, all of these locations have shuttered.

Since the first get-together in 2002, many regulars have either passed away or have limited their appearance because of health issues. One of the co-founders, Bill Soon, always showed up until his passing in 2007…
