Multiple tornados possible in parts of Texas

TEXAS — A threat of tornadoes is expected across parts of North Texas on Saturday as severe storms move through the region, according to the National Weather Service’s Storm Prediction Center.

Forecasters have placed portions of North Texas, particularly areas near the Oklahoma border, under a moderate risk for severe weather. The outlook includes cities such as Dallas and Fort Worth, along with surrounding communities.

Meteorologists say conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms late Saturday afternoon into the evening. These storms could produce tornadoes, including the possibility of a few strong tornadoes, along with very large hail and damaging wind gusts.
