Round Rock ISD employee arrested on child injury charge related to 2024 incident

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas — A Round Rock ISD employee was arrested Monday on a child abuse charge following a two-year investigation by Arlington police, authorities said.

Jonathan Cruz, 41, was taken into custody in Williamson County on one count of injury to a child with intent to cause bodily injury. He is being held at the Williamson County Jail. According to online jail records, he is being held on a $25,000 bond.

Arlington police said the investigation began in January 2024 after Child Protective Services reported a possible child abuse incident.
