Man charged with arson after admitting to setting Dallas home on fire, officials say

DALLAS — One Dallas man was charged with arson Saturday after he reportedly admitted to setting his own home on fire, Dallas Fire-Rescue said.

Officials say DFR units were called to the structure fire at 7:51 a.m. in the 7200 block of Rosemont Road.

Upon arrival at the one-story residence, DFR said firefighters reported fire coming from the back of the home. They began an offensive attack and declared the fire out by 8:21 a.m…
