Free summer meals available at Jackson Public Schools

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The Child Nutrition Department of Jackson Public Schools will provide free meals to during the summer.

Through their Summer Food Service Program, JPS will provide breakfast and lunch from Monday through Friday, June 1 through June 30, 2026.

Free summer meals available at Yazoo City schools

The program is open to all children 18 years of age and younger. According to JPS, the meals must be consumed on-site, and no meals will be served on Friday, June 19, 2026, in observance of Juneteenth.

The following schools will participate in the program:

  • Bates Elementary School, 3180 McDowell Road Extension
  • Blackburn Middle School, 1311 West Pearl Street
  • Callaway High School, 601 Beasley Road
  • Cardozo Middle School, 3180 McDowell Road Extension
  • Casey Elementary School, 2101 Lake Circle
  • Forest Hill High School, 2607 Raymond Road
  • Galloway Elementary School, 186 Idlewild Street
  • Kirksey Middle School, 5677 Highland Drive
  • Lanier Jr.-Sr. High School, 833 West Maple Street
  • North Jackson Elementary School, 650 James Davis Drive
  • Northwest Jackson Middle School, 7020 Highway 49
  • Pecan Park Elementary School, 415 Claiborne Avenue
  • Provine High School, 2400 Robinson Street
  • Shirley Elementary School, 210 Daniel Lake Boulevard
  • Spann Elementary School, 1615 Brecon Drive

Meal Service Times:

  • Breakfast: 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
  • Lunch: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
