1 killed, 5 injured during shooting at Jackson trail ride

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – An 18-year-old was killed and five others were injured during a shooting at a trail ride event in Jackson, according to investigators.

Police said the shooting occurred in the 2900 block of Forrest Avenue around 12:30 a.m. on June 6, 2026.

Four arrested after fatal shooting in Rankin County

When officers arrived, they discovered that Joidan Worthy, 18, had been killed by a single gunshot wound. Five other people were injured.
