Plenty of tropical moisture across southern, central and eastern Texas will lead to rounds of locally heavy showers and thunderstorms today through Wednesday. Most of Louisiana and southwestern Mississippi will also see periods of heavy rain.
A stalled front and an emerging area of low pressure coming out of northeastern Mexico will set the stage for rounds of showers and thunderstorms to develop across parts of southern, central and eastern Texas today through Wednesday. The plentiful tropical moisture in the region will likely lead to flooding concerns and the potential for travel delays. Remember to “Turn Around, Don’t Drown!” if there is a flooded roadway.
Rain amounts of 2 to 4 inches will be likely for many areas, but local amounts up to 6 to 8 inches are possible today through Wednesday…
