J-Tran workers set to walk off the job Monday, leaving riders without bus service

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Workers for Jackson’s public transit system are preparing to go on strike Monday morning if a new contract agreement is not reached by Sunday.

Employees with J-Tran, represented by Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1208, are in a contract dispute with MV Transportation, the company that operates the bus system.
