JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A dream that began nearly 20 years ago is transforming lives across Mississippi. Children and adults with special needs from all around the state and beyond are now welcome at Camp Kamassa.
The camp, which began in April 2025, is the first year-round facility in Mississippi designed exclusively for individuals with special needs, major diseases and disabilities. Founder Mary Kitchens aimed to provide a barrier-free environment for all campers to enjoy themselves.
