New housing development to be called Monroe’s Corner

A housing development at the corner of Monroe and Cynthia streets which the City of Clinton originally approved five years ago is finally coming to fruition. Developer Ben Walker says he’s been encouraged to proceed with the project, which he’s calling Monroe’s Corner.

“We’re going to move on with it this time,” Walker says.

The neighborhood will have fourteen lots nestled on approximately three and a half acres running south from Cynthia behind five existing homes on Monroe then east toward the Clinton Parkway before turning to the southwest back toward Monroe. Two entrances are planned, on Cynthia and on Monroe…
