JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A north Jackson woman accused in a multimillion-dollar credit union case attempted to bypass frozen bank accounts to access hundreds of thousands of dollars, according to recently released court documents.
Leigh Bridges, her husband, and Tina Funez are accused in a federal civil suit of misusing $95 million from the Jackson Area Federal Credit Union. Bridges admitted to misappropriation in April and was fired as the organization’s CEO.
In June, she moved funds to her husband’s accounts after the National Credit Union Administration began asking questions. Her husband was placed on leave from his state job days later…
