JACKSON — The Mississippi State Fair will hold Disability Friendly Day on Oct. 13 and Senior American Day on Oct. 14, offering free special events at the Mississippi Coliseum.
Disability Friendly Day, sponsored by Joni & Friends, will offer a resource carnival, sensory tents and accessible activities for people with disabilities and their families, according to the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce. Preregistration is encouraged, but registration will be available at the gate.
Senior American Day runs from 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 14. Admission is free, and the event is open to all ages, with activities geared toward older adults. Health screenings will be provided, and vendors and information booths will be available…
