RIDGELAND, Miss. (WJTV) – Ridgeland leaders announced S. Wheatley Street will become a one-way street at 12:00 p.m. on March 3, 2026.
The street will be one-way (northbound only) from McCormack Drive/Ring Road to Peach Orchard. Drivers will not be able to travel southbound on this section once the change is in place. This traffic pattern will remain in effect until further notice.

On January 19, 2026, crews began work on the S. Wheatley Rehabilitation Project, which is expected to take nine months to complete.
Detour signs will be in place to help guide drivers.
