Jackson State finished seventh overall at the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Championships, held Monday through Wednesday at RTJ at Oxmoor Valley in Birmingham. The Tigers scored a total of 927 strokes over three rounds.
Trace Carpenter led the team with a 10-over-par 226, finishing tied for 18th. He opened with a 72 before carding rounds of 81 and 73. His teammate Kaden Tibbetts finished tied for 23rd with a 12-over 228 after two 75s and a 78.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff claimed the team title with a 12-over 876, while Florida A&M finished second at 880. Jackson State was 63 strokes over par overall…
