TYLER, Texas (KLTV) – One of the world’s largest garage sales is open for business in East Texas.
The semiannual Hiway 80 Sale is in its 24th year, spanning nearly 400 miles. It’s held twice a year on the third weekend of April and October, when sellers line up along highway 80 all the way from Mesquite, Texas to Jackson, Mississippi.
For the vendors, it’s a chance at big sales – and for buyers, a chance at big bargains. All weekend vendors will be hawking toys, furniture, clothing and much more. Friday and Saturday are the busiest days, but on Sunday sellers will have discounted items – as well as some that haven’t been put on display yet…
