RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – The Mississippi Department of Public Safety (MDPS) held a ribbon cutting for its new headquarters in Rankin County.
State officials gathered outside the new facility to mark the milestone on Tuesday, which brings multiple public safety divisions under one roof for the first time.
MDPS Commissioner Sean Tindell said a legislative study conducted roughly 20 years ago identified the Rankin County location as an ideal site for the agency.
