Jackson church celebrates centennial

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – In 1926, a small group gathered in a living room and made a promise. One hundred years later, Wells United Methodist Church is keeping it.

Wells United Methodist Church started small. But when a few Mississippi ministers dared to speak during the Civil Rights Era, Wells did. Its leaders publicly declared that all people are welcome.
