Woman sentenced to 60 years for Louisiana to Mississippi kidnapping case

A woman involved in the cross-state abduction of two young sisters, which left one dead in Mississippi, was sentenced Thursday, April 30, in Louisiana.

The Office of District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux confirmed to the Clarion Ledger that Victoria Cox was sentenced to 50 years for attempted aggravated kidnapping of a child and 10 years for obstruction of justice, all for a total of 60 years in prison.

Cox accepted a plea deal Monday, April 13, that included dropping two felony charges of first-degree murder and second-degree kidnapping. Cox was 34 at the time of the plea deal…
