Thousands without power in Mississippi

MISSISSIPPI — More than 2,600 customers across Mississippi are without electricity Friday morning, according to PowerOutage.us.

The outage tracking website reported 2,625 homes and businesses currently without power statewide. The outages affect about 0.18% of the nearly 1.5 million customers tracked across Mississippi.

Monroe County has the largest number of outages in the state, with 414 customers without electricity. Hinds County reports 406 outages, while Grenada County has 247. Wilkinson County is reporting 225 outages, and Attala County has 153 customers without power…
