The Fleming Island High School standout has officially committed to continue her athletic and academic career at the University of South Florida (USF) after putting together one of the most remarkable careers ever by a Florida high school jumper.
Shavers didn’t simply compete—she made history.
Her unforgettable senior season reached its peak in June when she captured the 2026 New Balance Nationals Outdoor Championship in Philadelphia, winning the girls triple jump with a leap of 42 feet, 10.75 inches. The national title cemented her status as one of the premier field event athletes in the country and served as the perfect ending to a legendary high school career.
Just weeks earlier, Shavers delivered one of the greatest performances in Florida track history at the FHSAA Class 3A State Championships. Her incredible jump of 42 feet, 11.5 inches not only earned her the state championship but also shattered the Class 3A state meet record and broke a Florida state record that had stood since 2005.
