CALLAHAN, Fla. — A Fourth of July domestic violence incident in Callahan escalated into an hours-long standoff that ended with the arrest of a man facing multiple felony charges, while the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office reported an otherwise safe and relatively uneventful holiday weekend across the county.
According to the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded after a woman called 911 shortly after 10:30 p.m. on July 4, reporting she had been assaulted by Caleb Joshua Lopez.
