Survey Ranks 5 Florida Cities Where Out-Of-State Movers Suffer Serious House Shock

A new nationwide survey shows that out-of-state movers frequently encounter a steep housing reality check after relocating, with five Florida cities making the list of places where expectation meets unexpected compromise.

The survey, released by Portland Real Estate, queried 3,011 Americans who moved to a new state within the past five years. Researchers sought to evaluate the gaps between what newcomers anticipated their housing situation would be like and what they actually found upon unpacking their boxes.
