A dedicated 11-year-old is celebrating a huge milestone at his local animal shelter.
Nehemiah Turner, a young student in Florida, has spent the last two years reading to the adoptable animals at the Jacksonville Humane Society (JHS) through its Pawsitive Reading program. With the support of his grandmother, Turner is now the first child to rack up 100 hours of storytime with the shelter’s pets.
