Authorities say a Jacksonville infant ended up at Wolfson Children’s Hospital with multiple broken bones and bleeding in both eyes, and now a 28-year-old man is sitting in jail on six counts of aggravated child abuse.
According to investigators, medical staff at Wolfson flagged an oblique fracture of the distal humerus in the baby’s right arm, additional fractures in both tibias, and signs that some of the injuries were at different stages of healing. Detectives say the man admitted using forceful handling techniques on the child, and the case remains under active investigation.
