JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Jacksonville man riding an electric bicycle was struck by a pickup truck while crossing in a designated crosswalk Thursday afternoon, sending him to the hospital.
The crash occurred at approximately 4:45 p.m. on July 23, at the intersection of Anniston Road and Beach Boulevard, according to a crash report filed by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
According to the report, the driver of a 2008 Nissan Titan pickup truck was traveling southbound on Anniston Road in the outside lane, attempting to make a right turn westbound onto Beach Boulevard.
