A developer-led roadway project at Chester Road and Heron Isles Parkway in eastern Nassau County is entering its final stages, with only punch list items and landscaping work remaining before the intersection’s new roundabout is fully complete.
The improvements, including construction of the roundabout, are being built by the Wildlight developer as part of the transportation infrastructure required to support the master-planned community’s continued growth. Roadway upgrades tied to large developments like Wildlight are typically constructed by the developer under approved development agreements and traffic mitigation requirements, intended to maintain mobility, improve safety and keep pace with rising travel demand as the area develops.
