PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — A domestic violence suspect was taken into custody after deputies located him injured in a creek following a foot chase, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident began late in the evening on March 23, 2026, when a woman reported that her ex-boyfriend, 38-year-old Reynaldo Ammaud Bryant of Jacksonville, assaulted her while she was giving him a ride.
According to the report, Bryant asked to stay with the victim as they drove toward Jacksonville. When she refused, he allegedly attempted to take control of the vehicle and wrapped his arm around her neck, choking her.
The victim drove to a gas station and went inside to call 911, but Bryant followed her and took her phone. A store clerk contacted authorities, and Bryant fled the scene…
