Law Enforcement Members Arrested in Florida

Law enforcement members – a sergeant, officer, and former officer – were arrested in Florida after an investigation into overtime abuse. Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters recently announced that Sergeant Michael Rourke, Officer Christopher Sosa, and former Officer Dylan Bostick were arrested for Grand Theft, Organized Fraud, and Official Misconduct (all third-degree felonies).

According to the Sheriff’s office, Rourke and Sosa were suspended from their positions, and Bostick resigned from the agency. JSO confirmed it would seek Rourke’s and Sosa’s terminations.

JSO’s Integrity Unit learned Christian Masden, whose arrest was announced previously, intentionally submitted false overtime claims and received compensation for traffic enforcement work he did not complete. This led to a larger investigation into overpayments made to officers on the Motor Unit for traffic assignments.
