Morris County man killed in New Jersey Turnpike crash, state police say

BAYONNE, N.J. (Hudson County) — A Boonton man was killed Tuesday morning in a multi-vehicle crash on the New Jersey Turnpike Hudson Bay Extension in Bayonne, according to New Jersey State Police.

Troopers responded at 11:07 a.m. May 26 to the eastbound side of the Turnpike Hudson Bay Extension near milepost 2.8, State Police spokesman Trooper II Christopher Postorino said.

Based on a preliminary investigation, Timothy S. Roufaeal, 64, of Boonton, was driving an Acura SUV with a front-seat passenger when the crash occurred. A Freightliner tractor-trailer was traveling east behind the Acura, while a Jeep SUV and Toyota pickup truck were traveling ahead of it…
