Hudson County commissioners to form committee for Courthouse Park delays

The Hudson County Board of Commissioners are seeking to form a committee on the status of the planned Courthouse Park in Jersey City, signaling the need to address delays to construction timelines and parking among other issues.

At this week’s caucus, Commissioner Bill O’Dea (D-2) said he initially planned to call for a closed session on the matter, but instead worked with Hudson County Executive Craig Guy and his administration in deciding to form a committee regarding the planned park.

“We’re at a pretty critical juncture with it. The Guarini Courthouse is going to open. They’re going to move over there. The county has a couple proposals that I won’t get into details, but there are a couple of nuances that have occurred,” he stated.
