Police on Monday, June 15, released a surveillance photo of a man they say slashed a 22-year-old in the face in broad daylight on May 18 at East 167th Street and River Avenue in Highbridge. Investigators say the attacker pulled a knife and cut the victim around 12:30 p.m., then took off, leaving the young man injured as detectives renewed a public plea for tips.
According to News 12 New York, police are hoping the newly released image will jog someone’s memory and help put a name to the suspect. The NYPD Crime Stoppers program is asking anyone with information to call its tip line at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or leave an anonymous tip online at NYPD Crime Stoppers.
