Massive fleet to sail to NYC for the Fourth of July

NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — In celebration of the Fourth of July, the world’s largest fleet of tall ships will set sail in New York City.

Ships from 46 nations will gather in the Port of New York and New Jersey over the course of five days in a feat of “unprecedented maritime spectacle,” Sail4th 250 announced.

Nearly 50 tall ships representing 20 foreign nations will sail past U.S. and allied naval vessels in a massive celebration, dubbed the “International Parade of Sail.”

Festivities will kick off on July 3 with the Sail4th 250 Parade of Class B ships. From 1 to 3 p.m., Class B tall ships will sail down the East River from Hell Gate Bridge to Gravesend Bay in Brooklyn…
