Families with children who were aged 5 or younger in 2025 may qualify for New Jersey’s Child Tax Credit of up to $1,000 per child, even if they don’t normally file taxes. A new, free tool called SimpleFile will allow families to apply in about fifteen minutes from a smartphone or computer.
