Liz Sargent is making her feature film directorial debut with a sweet collaboration that stars her real-life sister, Anna Sargent.

PEOPLE is exclusively debuting the trailer for Liz’s new movie Take Me Home on Friday, Aug. 14. The new movie originated as a short film that premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival. It won the Grand Jury Prize at the American Cinematheque PROOF Film Festival in 2024 and was then expanded into a feature film.

This past January, Liz won a screenwriting award at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival for her work on the project, which features her cognitively disabled sister Anna in the movie’s lead role…
