Tous les Jours Is Closing Its Montclair Location, Could Lenwich Move in Next?

A French-Asian bakery that only recently arrived on Montclair’s Bloomfield Avenue has closed its doors, and a popular New York City sandwich shop is reportedly taking its place. Tous les Jours, located at 520 Bloomfield Avenue, permanently closed on August 20th, less than two years after the store’s opening, according to an Instagram post from The Montclair Pod. What We Know

Tous Les Jours opened in the space in late December 2024, bringing its mix of French- and Asian-inspired pastries, breads, cakes, coffee, and other drinks to the neighborhood. The storefront sat vacant for more than a year following Lululemon’s departure in October 2023.

Tous les Jours, which originated in Guri, South Korea, first opened in 1997 and expanded internationally before coming to the United States in 2004. At the time of its Montclair opening, the brand had more than 110 locations across the country, including 10 in New Jersey.

Could Lenwich Be Taking Over?

While a new tenant for the Bloomfield Avenue space has not been officially announced, Lenwich is reportedly expected to take over the space, according to The Montclair Pod. The NYC-based sandwich shop would bring a very different concept to the storefront, swapping Tous les Jours’ pastry cases and coffee drinks for made-to-order sandwiches, wraps, salads, and breakfast fare…
