2-alarm house fire damages Morris County home

MADISON BOROUGH, N.J. (Morris County) — Firefighters battled a second-alarm house fire Sunday evening after flames spread from a basement to upper floors of a home on Kings Road in Madison Borough, authorities said.

According to the Madison Fire Department, Morris County Communications received a 911 call reporting a basement fire at the residence around 7 p.m.

Fire crews arrived quickly and found the fire had extended beyond the basement into additional floors of the home, prompting a second alarm and a response from neighboring mutual aid departments…
