Parts of the Hudson Valley will be under a heat advisory as temperatures rise into the mid-90s Tuesday.
The advisory will be in effect from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in eastern Ulster and western Dutchess counties due to the high heat and humidity, according to the National Weather Service. In Poughkeepsie, a high of 95 is expected, just shy of Tuesday’s record of 96 set in 1962, meteorologist Peter Speck said.
