This Kalamazoo Family Turns Their Front Stoop Into a Work of Art

This time of year, people are taking pictures for all sorts of events. Graduations, school dances, weddings, engagement photos; the list goes on and on. Sometimes, finding the place to take those photos is half the battle. But what if I told you there was a family in Kalamazoo that has made it their hobby to create incredible scenes for your next photo, right on their doorstep?

Or should I say, their stoop? That’s because this mystical spot is known as the Kalamazoo Stoop, and its seasonal decoration changes have begun attracting people from all over West Michigan to take photos with the family’s unique designs.

What is the Kalamazoo Stoop?

Who said you can only decorate your house during the holidays? The Kalamazoo Stoop is showing that your home can be a work of art any time of year. The first design the page created was for the 2025 holidays, but they’ve continued to create various designs every few months since then.

Each design gets more extensive each time, with the “Vine Stoop” and the “Umbrella Stoops” being real works of art. Their latest design was recently revealed as the ‘Rainbow Stoop”, and according to their Facebook page, they have fun designs planned for all of summer. The best part? Visiting the stoop is completely free, and the owners just ask visitors to be mindful of their neighbors when taking photos.
